Fall Home Maintenance Tip: Protect Your Exterior Faucets As temperatures drop, don't forget to disconnect all garden hoses from your outdoor spigots!
Even with frost-free hose bibs, leaving a hose attached during freezing weather traps water inside the spigot and connected pipe. When that trapped water freezes, expanding ice creates intense pressure that can cause severe pipe bursts inside your walls. Take five minutes this week to unhook and drain your hoses for winter!
